For those that are somewhat familiar with my (21:12) pieces, May 9th, 2015 will be the first full-volume live demonstration of “black dub (21:12)”, which consists of 12+ improvised pieces of music recorded from 2010-2015 meant to be heard simultaneously as a cohesive composition.

It features performances by George Joseph Miller IV of Tourism, Jodi Ess, Liz Büstämänte, Stephen Sowley of Walking Shadow, Jacques Granger, Robert Traxler of The Family Ghost, SNWV, a.k.a., Maurice Rickard, beats by Jim Birch, a step show from the Peace Warriors rally at Lawndale College Prep, and a sample of the entirety of “Stairway to Heaven”, among other things. Salut.

but seriously, mine’s probably not even the weird one. There’s a bone-conducting microphone thing that transmits the sounds DIRECTLY INTO YOUR SKULL, a bunch of cool A\V screenings, ambient office works, a live-band performance of chance operations using bingo cards…seriously. It’s gonna get weird.

cheers,

Faiz

In honor of 2.1.12, please enjoy the following presentation of Tourism,
Jim Birch and Faiz Zeppelin‘s “radical arm/bblack ddubb (21:12).”

The complete song is meant to be played simultaneously with the video below it.
It is exactly 21:12 of disorienting sound-out-of-time music.
play the audio at full volume and the video at half volume. enjoy!
