Apparitions is a movement piece I created for a performance at the Hamlin Park Fieldhouse presented by Nana Shineflug and the Chicago Moving Company.
It is a response piece to the song “Apparitions” by Small Awesome featuring Brent Mix.
I removed all the parts of the song we played, and only left Brent’s saxophones in the mix.

The three overlaid videos were filmed by Beth Wiedner, Martinez E-B and Andrew Craig and was done in loving memory of John Grabski III and Nana Shineflug. Below is the movement score I created when writing and rehearsing the piece. The score is meant to be printed out and used as an instructional flipbook.
